On July 14, 2017, Moreland Law Firm, P.C. filed suit in Federal Court in Laredo, Texas against KBR, Inc., CAS, Inc. and KBRwyle Technology Solutions, LLC (“KBRwyle”) on behalf of current field service representatives Jacob Shaw, Mitch Rosiere, and Alfred Jacques (the “Plaintiffs”).
KBRwyle is the global government services business of KBR, Inc., which is #567 on the 2017 Fortune 500 List. The Plaintiffs filed suit under the Fair Labor Standards Act (the “FLSA”), which is the federal law requiring that employers pay their employees overtime and minimum wage. In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs are requesting all unpaid overtime wages they accrued in the three years prior to filing their suit.
The Plaintiffs claim that they are paid straight time for all hours worked. Stated differently, the plaintiffs claim that the KBRwyle did not pay them time and a half for their hours worked over forty in a given week throughout their employment.
