Texas Tires
Case Information:
This is a Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) case brought by two former employees of Texas Tires. Texas Tires is owned by a number of corporations, including Hani’s Texas Tires, Inc., Al-Wahban Texas Tire, LLC and Jannah’s Real Estate, LLC. The lawsuit claims that Texas Tires wrongfully failed to pay minimum wage and overtime pay to its tire and wheel technicians, who were paid in cash on a weekly basis. We are requesting class certification and judicially supervised notice.
Employers that violate the FLSA are subject to double damages for all of the wages they failed to pay their workers. Employers are also responsible for an employee’s attorneys’ fees and costs if the employee prevails. In the lawsuit, we are seeking to represent a class of tire and wheel technicians and are requesting lost wages, liquidated (double) damages, injunctive relief, attorneys’ fees, costs, and expenses.
