Sava Senior Care
Case Information:
This is a Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) case involving three Sava Senior Care facilities in Kerrville, Texas—SSC Kerrville Hilltop Village Operating Company LLC, SSC Kerrville Edgewater Operating Company LLC, and SSC Kerrville Alpine Terrace Operating Company LLC. The lawsuit is filed on behalf of Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses at the three facilities and claims that the Sava entities automatically deducted pay for meal periods even though the nature of the job required that the nurses perform work during those meal periods. The lawsuit therefore contends that the nurses should have been paid for these “meal periods.”
The lawsuit requests lost wages, liquidated (double) damages, injunctive relief, and attorneys’ fees.
