Fiesta Flooring

Case Information:

This is a Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) case brought by a group of tile installers and their assistants or helpers that were employed by Fiesta Flooring, LLC.  The lawsuit claims that Fiesta Flooring, LLC wrongfully failed to pay overtime to its installers and their helpers, despite the fact that these employees were clearly entitled to overtime if they worked more than forty hours per week.  We are requesting class certification and judicially supervised notice.

Employers that violate the FLSA are subject to double damages for all of the wages they failed to pay their workers. Employers are also responsible for an employee’s attorneys’ fees and costs if the employee prevails.  In the lawsuit, we are seeking to represent a class of installers and helpers and are requesting lost wages, liquidated (double) damages, injunctive relief, attorneys’ fees, costs, and expenses.
